Thursday, April 19, 2012

Weigh in: 155.8

Hmmph. It's been the same for the past two days and I felt like I've been eating quite little lately... maybe my calories were too low and body going into shock/starvation mode? I've been eating enough to not feel hungry though. We shall see as time goes on.

Intake:
  • 1 strawberry & 1 peach Oikos greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup Silk Vanilla almond milk -- I should've gotten plain... I normally don't say things are too sweet, but this was too sweet. Egh. And plain almond milk is prob more paleo friendly anyhow..
  • The physicist at the heart clinic treates us out to Omagari.. I ordered the spicy chicken bulgogi and asked for salad instead of rice. Ate the banchan too. Not too bad right?
  • Then came home and I was suuper craving something sweet. Darn Korean food!! I couldn't help but indulge in 2 more greek yogurts... T_T
  • And this is going to sound like a lot of eating out, but we had plans with a friend for dinner. We went to a Mediterranean place. I ordered the Shewarma Chicken salad. No carbs in there, but the garlic yogurt dressing was prob not the best idea. I also sampled the sampler thing you eat with pita that Joy and Leo ate with the unlimited pita bread.. Ahh I really wanted to eat that bbang, but I resisted.
  • 1 low sugar iced green tea from Verde (I asked for unsweetened, but it came out half sugar... but it wasn't that sweet so I think it wasn't tooo bad)
  • Then after working out I came home and ate a strawberry greek yogurt for recovery. I really should get some low carb protein shake or something.
Workout:
Insanity Asylum speed & agility workout (45min). Like most of my insanity workouts, I was dying. But I held my own fairly well and made it through the entire workout without taking many breaks.

Tomorrow will be better. I will eat the food that kkokko brought. Hopefully we'll also go grocery shopping soon too. Must cut back on my yogurt/dairy

Back to journaling my food again...

I got back from a week vacation in Korea on Sunday. I was nervous about getting tremendous weight because I wouldn't be able to exercise and I ate freely. To my surprise, I only gained about 2-3 lbs from what I was around before I left. I guess it helped that we did walk a fair amount. I think it's because even though I work out hard at home, for the most part, I'm not moving much.

So.. weight on Monday was: 157.0

Today's weight: 155.8

Kkokko's introduced me to the Paleo diet, and told me to give it a try since it worked for her for the time she tried it. Since carbs seem to be my biggest enemy, I'm going to try paleo, it's similar to Dukan, with a few differences here and there, but it seems like there are some good health benefits from it. I might have to do a pseudo-paleo kind of diet though, because I really do love dairy and I may go crazy if I don't have my yogurt at least once in a while haha..

My biggest loser type of weight loss challenge ends in July. If I can lose the most, I could definitely win some nice cash monies. But even if I don't, I'll be satisfied with a thinner me. So let's dooo thiss.

Yesterday's intake:
Vegetable soup with meatballs that kkokko made
Little bit of yogurtland with fruits (I know..., but I don't eat very much so I thought it'd be ok)
Reason for such little intake is that I unintentionally woke up at 4:30 pm haha...
I was good at not snacking on the snacks at GT though.

Exercise:
Just the cardio recovery Insanity workout. I was pretty sore from judo on Monday and body didn't feel energized enough to do all that jumping

Today's intake:
Salad that kkokko made with balsamic vinegar
About 3/4 cup of soup kkokko made, because
Then the rest about 1.5? cups of soup after workout
1 container Vita Coco Coconut water
1 oikos strawberry greek yogurt

I even made ham and cheese dinner roll sandwiches for Mark Study, but didn't eat any.

Exercise:
Insanity Plyometric Cardio Circuit workout
