Day 123

Weigh-in: 146.2 yay

Day 122

Weigh-in: 147.2. Yay going down again~ hope to get down to 145 again soon and go even lower.

Intake:
B: 2 tbs oatbran + egg beaters + splenda as hot cereal
Few slices of balamic vinegared sirloin steak

S: 1 dannon plain greek yogurt

L: Rest of my sliced sirloin steak with balsamic

S: thought there would be rotisserie chicken at bible study today but no. I just picked out some of the chicken from the salad and some sliced almonds cuz I couldn't resist.. but at least almonds don't have much carb?

D: rushed home bc I was super hungry!
1 carton of firm tofu, sliced, dipped in egg and pan fried with no oil.
1 can of salmon mixed with plain yogurt, vinegar, and curry/spices

Jasmine tea with splash of milk

Exercise:
40 min on precor eliptical, varying levels but around 10, fwd and backwards alternating
1 hr Club Power class - always a good total body workout
1 hr Drums Alive class - wow it was really cool! My first time doing a drum cardio workout. You put step risers stacked up and upside down and put a big workout ball on it and everyone has drum sticks. It was really fun and a good workout too!

Day 121

Weigh-in: 148.8 - hey not a bad restart weight! i was pleasantly surprised


Intake:
Sliced sirloin steak with bals vinegar

2tbs oatbran with egg beaters, splenda, and van extract as hot cereal

1 dannon ff plain greek yogurt with splenda and cinammon

~1/2 cup? egg beaters with milk, splenda and van extract as egg dessert


Exercise: good workout day today! All together almost 3 hours

  • 30 min hip hop cardio class Caught the last half of the class after i got off work
  • 30 min torturous core class! by that crazy instructor Jessica i talked about before. SUPER tough class, my body was crying, but it's good to get my butt kicked every so often...
  • few weights - for the chin lifts, I've been doing 3 x 5 at 80#, but for my last set today I managed to do it at 70#! yay on my way doing a pull up one day..
  • 62 min on treadmill - intervals of high incline walking, fast walking and running and even some speed intervals at speeds 7.0, 8.0 and 9.0! pretty intense treadmill sesh today.
  • Few more weight machines and even did some snatch and splits with a 15# dumbell today
  • 10 min stretch

Day 120

Weigh-in: 150.0 - I was really bad this weekend :T I somehow lost all my motivation and took a fat vacation or something.

Today wasn't that great either.
But my motivation is back now and tomorrow will be (another *sigh*) new start.
It helps that I have meat prepared to eat too. Carbs and nuts were too easily accessible this weekend.. And once I give in a little, I apparently give in a lot.. then go wild.. But I will go down again; can't give up.

I've also banned french fries and potato chips from ever entering my mouth again from this day on.


Exercise:
At least I got 2.5 hours of judo practice in? Weighed 149.6 after practice.

Day 115

Weigh-in: 148.6 .. lotsa sodium last night and i've been cheating a little lately


Intake
:
I don't know why but I couldn't control myself this morning or until i had my workout...
I kinda went crazy and couldn't stop myself and went carb overboard..
Corn bread, 2 slices of whole wheat bread, goldfish grahams and 2 coconut macaroons.. For some reason I couldn't care and just ate what I saw at home and at work...

But then i was able to become in control again after my workout..
Lunch: 2 pieces of marinated garlic chicken breast

Dinner:
1 sirloin steak, 1 egg white, roasted garlic, yogurt/balsamic dipping sauce

snack:
1 strawberry activia light yogurt with 2 tbs of oatbran

Exercise:
At least it gave me motivation to workout harder?

-49 minutes on the treadmill, mostly incline walking and fasting walking with 5 minute intervals of running at 5.0
-1 hour club power strength training class -- good to do a class again! d/t my sched i haven't been able to attend the class i so love
-then 32 minutes on the treadmill. Ran for 30 minutes straight at 2.0 incline and 5.0 speed. then cooled down

Had a "pizza making party" with my bible study group last night and i did pretty well. i brought a dukan pancake with me as the crust and just ate ok toppings, like the veggies, tomato sauce, but ate prob too many jalapenos..

but then i came home and i couldn't help but eat cereal.. sigh. need to stay away.

Day 113

Weigh-in: 147.8 went up a little as expected.
It was Loice's last weekend here in America and on Saturday I splurged a bit with Thai food. There were Dukan friendly options on the menu which was nice to know, but I just splurged..


Tomorrow I will get back to being good and writing everything down.

Day 109

Ahh I've been lagging on the posts.. Lately, I've just been so tired that I have no energy or forget to.

Weigh-in: 145.0 - I was surprised!! I thought yesterday's weigh-in was a fluke and was totally expecting a gain today. This is the lowest I've been in years!
Yesterday: 145.2 - very surprised as this as well!
Tuesday: 147.8

I'm also surprised because I haven't been as strict on my diet. I've been cheating here and there :/ Liking taking bites of this and that..

Tuesday, I did really until I ended up eating this Turkey Avocado sandwich that I was going to take home to my brother but I got hungry after work and somehow I made it disappear one bite at a time.. I was only going to take one bite, then just half the sandwich.. but then it gave me motivation to work out hard at the gym and I did 50 minutes on the elliptical, 30+ minutes of weights, and 40 minutes on the treadmill.

Yesterday... my slip ups included bites of korean style curry and rice and cheesecake and red velvet cake (from brother's party on Saturday) that we had at home (ugh). I didn't get to exercise either, because of VBS at church and I was exhausted when I got home.

Today's intake: My Dukan cycle is messed up so I'm just kinda doing a mixed PP & PV.. Starting monday, I will go back to a more set schedule. This week is just too funky.

Breakfast:
1 chicken breast
2tbs of oatbran with little egg beaters, water, splenda, and vanilla extract

Late Lunch:
Chicken breast
2 eggs + 2 egg whites
Triple iced espresso with little soy and nonfat milk
Then I had a few bites of the cheesecake and red velvet again... I went to go throw it out because I couldn't stop thinking about the fact that it's in the garage, and ended up having a few bites... then threw it away. Good riddance!

Dinner:
Not sure, but they're serving spaghetti for the volunteers at church today...
I'll bring a yogurt and maybe just eat spaghetti sauce?
Spaghetti sauce with 1/.5 meatballs
Few bites of bibimnaengmyun - ah so good.. really wanted to eat a whole one..

Pure protein bar 180 cals and carb wise not too bad, about the same as some ff yogurts

1/2 baked salmon with little bit of dukan friendly quick soondubu with tofu, egg beaters and seasoning and sriracha sauce

Exercise:
Determined to do at least a 30 minute home workout. Disappointment with my lack of exercise lately.
20 minute Butt Bible lower body level 1 workout
20 minute Butt Bible upper body level 1 workout
20 minute Bikini Body total body workout

After coming home from vbs, it took me til 12:30am to start working out. Nonetheless, after I got started I could keep going. These workouts were not too intense, but overall a good workout from Exercise TV, esp doing them at midnight hah.

Day 106

Yesterday: 148.8
Saturday: 148.0

Went up a little, but it's not tooo bad. Saturday Joy, Loice and I went to Napa. I only tasted one wine because I don't like wine so that's only like 3 tablespoons of a dessert wine, at night we ate at a gogi house though so I stayed away from carbs but I had some meat that wouldn't be Dukan approved like the ogyupsal and the banchan and gogi marinades have oil and/or sugar in it.

Yesterday we had a sister's dinner and I had a PV day and did pretty well considering what was available.

Today, I was really bad though so I don't really want to post what I ate because I'm ashamed :(
Brother's party food from Saturday was in the frig and today I just gave in... sigh. but tomorrow is a new day. Sad how I can understand how addicts to drugs or cigarettes feel through my relationship with food..

Exercise:
2.5 hour judo practice
~1 mile run with Loice around her neighborhood

Day 103

Weigh-in: 147.4!! so happy this morning and gave me motivation! I'm back to the low I was a few weeks ago. Now I gotta see if it'll go down from here.

Intake: Attack Phase day 4

Breakfast:
2tbs oatbran with little egg beaters and water as hot cereal
1 egg +1 egg white



Exercise:
20 min eliptical level 8-10 to warm up
30 minutes of weight machines
62 minutes on the treadmill. Mostly fast walking and high incline walking but  one 10 minute interval at incline 2.0 and speed 5.0 and later an interval of 10 minutes at 2.0incline 5.5 speed.

Day 102

Weigh-in: 150.2 - still a loss so yay - must go below 150 and stay there. Whenever I get in to the 140s it always creeps back up to ~150. Must get away and stay away. I think this is the weight my body likes to be at, but must fight it!

Intake: Attack phase day 3
1 sirloin steak sliced with balsamic vinegar and roasted garlic

late lunch:
2 sliced sirloin steaks with balsamic vinegar and roasted garlic, fresh herbs and garlic seasoning (we just cooked what we had yesterday so these were ready to eat but I enjoyed it heh)
some microwaved egg beaters

After judo practice:
1 whole egg with 1 egg white pan fried
1/3 cup? of egg beaters with water, splenda and vanilla extract

Tough part of eliminating tofu and dairy for the first few days is that I'm pretty much just limited to meat, eggs and a little oatbran.

For the future:
Once I add dairy and tofu back again, my daily limits shall be:
1 carton of tofu
1000g (1kg) of dairy as suggested by the UK dukan diet

Exercise:
2.5 hours of judo practice - lots of sweat!

Day 101

Weigh-in: 150.4 - wow I was pretty shocked it went down so fast.

Intake: Dukan attack phase day 2

Spiced chicken breast
2tbs of oatbran with little egg beaters

1 egg white

1.25 lbs ground turkey with some tandoori seasoning, little garlic salt, fresh herbs, dried parsley, onion powder, 1 whole egg, little egg beaters cooked on the stove top and i ate with balsamic vinegar

1 sirloion steak, well done and eaten with balsamic vinegar

I must say eating no dairy or tofu has been quite tough the passed couple days. I'm used to being able to use FF milk to my eggs or tea and making sauces with ff sourcream. Just one more day of no dairy then I'll be able to add a little bit of dairy and tofu back in my diet again.

Exercise:
none :/ i don't know what's up with me! I used to work out 2-3hrs a day but now i've been pretty lazy.. gotta get back into it again!

Day 100

Ok.. so unfortunately I enjoyed myself a little too much on my week off from my diet. As much as I was determined to calorie count, I kinda just indulged.. ate things I was dying to eat and hadn't in while including pastries, pinkberry, fruit, pizza, pho, pasta, etc... Felt so guilty but it was so good..

On Monday morning I reached 155.4 - oh my... Carbs = Sin. So hard to control what I eat when I'm not super restricted...

Today's weigh-in: 154.6 - meaning I gained 5 lbs in a week TT kinda got me depressed for a bit, but gotta work on it again...

Restarted my Dukan Diet today. So I'm currently in attack phase, but with a little more restriction.
Going for 5 days on Attack, but for the first 3 days, no dairy or tofu either.

Intake: Pretty tough today, esp with the no dairy. Attack phase Day 1.
Breakfast:
2 tbs oatbran as hot cereal
2 bites of chicken breast really quick before running out the door


lunch:
shrimp and ~1 sliced chicken breast with balsamic vinegar
~1 cup egg beaters microwaved
~later 1/3 cup of egg beaters with splenda and vanilla extract


Snack at church during bible study:
pieces of rotisserie chicken breast

Dinner:
1.5 stove top cooked costco kind chicken breast with salt-free thai and indian spices, but I could still taste saltiness, but i think that's from the chx breast itself
4 hardboiled egg whites

Day 96

Eeks! It's been a week since I've updated.

So I quick recap on what went on...
We had a church camping church from Fri-Sunday and even though I ate samgyubsal and bulgogi, I think I did quite well we were fairly active too. On Sunday night, Joy, Loice, Jmoon and I went to a sushi buffet and I stuck to the sashimi, fish, steak and veggies.

On Monday morning I was 149.6. But I kinda ate a lot on Monday. Dukan approved but I kinda went overboard for some reason.. However, i did go to judo practice and so that's ~2.5 hours of exercise.

On Tuesday morning, I think I was 150.0 but I also woke up feeling quite sick which got worse throughout the day. I had a really uncomfortable feeling in my stomach and nausea, I could hardly eat anything. I had to leave the heart clinic early so I could rest up for my shift at PT. I came home and still couldn't eat much but a few tablespoons of oatbran hot cereal. I later went to work from 3-7:30, I really wanted to call in sick but I thought it was too late and thought I could bear it, so I just went. The discomfort came in waves, one minute I'm ok the next I wanted to curl up in fetal position and had a headache as well, but in the end I made it. I came home and took my temp and it actually went to 100.6F and so I just stayed on the couch and watched tv. I had a can of chicken noodle soup and took meds and napped a little and started feeling better. I needed to write a cover letter for a presentation for the next day though so I had to wake up. It was about 11pm by then and I could start to stomach some fruit yogurt and whole wheat bread.

Next morning, I'm a lot better but still nor 100% so I decided to stay off the Dukan diet because I felt queasy thinking of eating meat or tofu or plain yogurt.

Long story short, even yesterday I stayed off Dukan and decided to just watch what I eat.
Also, even though I was still only like 80% recovered from that food poisoning/stomach flu thing I made it through judo practice.

I made a new decision though.
I decided that until next Tuesday, I'm going stay off Dukan and just count calories and that I will restart Dukan starting Tuesday... also because I've been pretty stagnant in my weight lately as well. I must say, it's been nice eating carbs again.. I ate bread, rice, cereal and even a cookie Joy made.. It'd been a while, but it also reminds me of how dangerous they are because when I eat them I want to keep eating them and lot of it.
